Transaction in own shares

ITE Group plc ('ITE')

On  19  September 2008,  ITE acquired  131,561 of its own ordinary shares of 1p each at a price of 126.77p  per share. These shares will be held in Treasury.

Following the purchase, ITE holds 5,445,585 of its ordinary shares in Treasury and has a total of  247,907,902 ordinary shares (excluding shares held in Treasury) in issue.
