   Appointment of Steve Monnington as Chief Executive
             and Alex Bernstein to the Board

ITE Group plc ('ITE' or the 'Company'), the international
exhibitions  specialist,  is  pleased  to  announce   the
appointments of Steve Monnington as Group Chief Executive
and  Alex  Bernstein as an executive director responsible
for  Russia  and Kazakhstan. Both appointments  are  with
immediate  effect.  Steve Monnington,  aged  42,  has  an
extensive  background  in the exhibition  and  publishing
industry.  In  1989 he joined Blenheim  Group  plc  (when
Lawrie  Lewis  was group chief executive) as  UK  Finance
Director and Group Financial Controller. In 1990, he  was
appointed  UK  Commercial  Director.  In  1993   he   was
appointed Director for International Development, joining
the   main  board  of  Blenheim.  In  this  role  he  was
responsible for all acquisitions.

Steve  left  Blenheim in February 1997 after  its  merger
with  Miller  Freeman following the take over  by  United
News  &  Media, to set up his own company Mayfield  Media
Strategies  (MMS), an independent broker and  consultancy
for  the  acquisition  and  disposal  of  exhibition  and
publishing companies. Over the last two and a half  years
he  has  worked with Neville Buch in establishing  Tarsus
Group plc. In 1998 he joined the main board of Tarsus  as
its Development Director.

Alex  Bernstein, aged 51, has worked as a  consultant  to
ITE since 1993 with responsibility for ITEs expansion in
Russia  and Kazakhstan as the exclusive sales  agent  for
ITE.  Following  the  variation and  acquisition  of  his
existing  consultancy agreement by ITE he has  agreed  to
join the main board of ITE with responsibility for Russia
and Kazahkstan.

Lawrie Lewis, Chairman, said, ' I am delighted that  with
these   two   appointments  we  have  added   experienced
exhibition management and created a new era of management
stability  in Russia. Steve Monningtons experience  both
at   Blenheim  and  more  recently  at  Tarsus  will  add
considerable  strength to our management team  and   will
assist  in  ITEs growth plans in emerging markets.  Alex
Bernstein has been involved in ITE from its inception and
his  appointment clarifies his role and the role  of  our
sales agency operation in Russia. This new role plus  his
network   of  contacts  is  a  vital  element  to   ITEs
continuing growth record in Russia.'
