Hunting PLC announces the acquisition by Gibson Petroleum, a member of its
Oil Division, of the Rainbow Gas Plant situated in northern Alberta for
£5m in cash.
The plant, which has a current capacity of 44 million cubic feet of gas
per day and incorporates 91 miles of gathering system, provides Gibson
Petroleum with an excellent opportunity for expanding gathering and
processing services to companies active in the area.
Ken Miller, Chief Executive of Hunting said:
'At the interim results in September we made clear our intention to make
additional acquisitions in the natural gas market. This acquisition is a
further step in this stated strategy and expands our presence into the mid-
stream gas gathering and processing business in this geographical area.'
