HUNTING PLC

Hunting  PLC  announces  that its oil and gas exploration  subsidiary,  Tenkay
Resources  Inc of Houston, Texas, has participated in a significant  offshore-
Louisiana  oil  and  gas discovery comprising two wells.   Estimated  reserves
total  64  million  mcf  of  natural  gas and  2.8  million  barrels  of  oil.
Production  is due to commence later this month.  Tenkay holds an 8%  interest
in  the wells. At current prices, this discovery is estimated to add $8.9m  to
Tenkay's  revenue  in  2001.  Tenkay's total revenue  for  the  year  2000  is
estimated at $6m.
