Hunting PLC 24 April 2001 HUNTING PLC Proposed disposal of Irvin Aerospace Limited, Irvin Aerospace Inc, and Irvin Aerospace Canada Ltd. (together 'Irvin') Hunting PLC ('Hunting'), the oil services group, today announces that it has conditionally agreed to sell Irvin to the Airborne Systems Division ('Airborne Systems') of Wardle Storeys Limited for a consideration of £17.0 million, based on the expected level of net assets at completion of £12.3 million. The consideration is payable in cash on completion. Irvin operates internationally in the field of military parachutes and related air and naval products. In the year to 31 December 2000, Irvin sales were £32.5 million and it achieved an operating profit before interest and taxation of £3.1 million. The Disposal is conditional upon both Hunting and Airborne Systems obtaining certain regulatory approvals in the UK and USA. Completion of the sale is expected to take place within the next few weeks.
