AGM Statement

Hunting PLC 27 April 2004 27 April 2004 Hunting PLC AGM TRADING STATEMENT Hunting PLC ('Hunting'), the international energy services company will be holding its AGM today. Richard Hunting, Chairman of Hunting, will be making the following statement: 'In the three months to 31 March 2004, the oil and gas industry has shown modest activity improvements primarily in Canada, the international drilling arena and on-shore United States. The Gulf of Mexico deepwater activity has continued to decline and is at a level below that of the corresponding period in 2003. 'When we announced our preliminary results for 2003 on 4 March, we commented that the oil and gas industry entered 2004 with improved expectations in activity of approximately 5%. Oil and gas commodity prices remain strong and the market environment continues to improve. Gibson Energy's marketing and truck transportation activities have shown a good improvement over the corresponding period in 2003 as has the overall performance at Hunting Energy. To date, we are trading in line with our internal budget targets and, with the exception of exchange rates, we expect the improvements in the market to continue for the remainder of the year.'
