Julian Barnes Appointed as Head of Project Development

Hummingbird Resources is pleased to announce that Julian Barnes has joined the Company as Head of Project Development at Dugbe 1.

Julian co-founded Resource Service Group ("RSG"), an international exploration and mining consultancy, in 1987.  RSG subsequently merged with Global Mining Services to form RSG Global, which was then acquired by Coffey Mining Limited in 2006.  From 2004 until 2010, Julian was Executive Vice President of Dundee Precious Metals Inc., and he is currently a director of Serbia-focussed Avala Resources Ltd. He has extensive international experience, including over 15 years in West Africa. Julian has also worked on many bankable feasibility studies and has undertaken numerous technical due diligence assessments for resource banking institutions.

The Company's Dugbe 1 Project has an existing Indicated and Inferred Resource of 3.8Moz gold.  Drilling at Sackor, which lies only 3km south west of Dugbe F and is the third prospect within the project area, commenced successfully last week with initial drill core geology displaying strong similarities to Dugbe F.

Dan Betts, CEO, commented today:

"We are delighted to welcome Julian to Hummingbird Resources.  It is a privilege to have somebody of Julian's skill and reputation join our team in the crucial role of leading us through the various evaluation studies necessary in order to maximise the economic potential of Dugbe 1. I see this appointment as a major step forward in the development of Hummingbird Resources and a ringing endorsement of both the quality of the project and the quality of the work done to date.  On behalf of the board I would like to welcome Julian to Hummingbird Resources and look forward to working with him.

Additionally, I am extremely pleased with the hard work of our field teams in identifying a new target at Sackor and remain confident that the positive indications from the initial drill holes will add to our current resource of 3.8Moz."

Julian Barnes, Head of Project Development, commented today:

"I am very pleased to be given the opportunity to assist Hummingbird Resources in maximising the potential of the Dugbe 1 project.  Hummingbird Resources have discovered what is promising to be a major Birimian gold province and their work to date suggests the potential for a significant gold operation in Liberia."
