LEVEY APPOINTED GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR

HSBC Holdings plc has appointed Stuart A Levey, 48, Chief Legal Officer, a Group Managing Director with effect from 18 January 2012 and he joins the Group Management Board.

Mr Levey was appointed Chief Legal Officer of HSBC Holdings on 13 January 2012 and reports to Stuart Gulliver, Group Chief Executive.
