Howden Joinery Group Plc - Transaction in Own Shares 

Howden Joinery Group Plc (the "Company") announces that on 11 September 2015 it purchased through J.P. Morgan Securities plc the following number of its ordinary shares at an average price of 485.51p per share:

Number of ordinary shares purchased:	100,000
Highest purchase price paid per share:	489.20p
Lowest purchase price paid per share:	482.70p

The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following the above transaction, the Company holds 5,800,000 ordinary shares in treasury, and has 646,030,815 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
