     Notifications for the purposes of sections 198-203 Companies Act 1985

The Company has received notification pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies
Act 1985, that at the close of business on 9 September 2004, Morgan Stanley
Securities Limited, had an interest in 22,925,392 ordinary shares of MFI
Furniture Group Plc (3.68 per cent of the issued share capital) of which the
interest in 13,950,932 ordinary shares is pursuant to Section 208(5) of the
Companies Act 1985.
