The Company received notification pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies Act
1985 ('the Act'), that at the close of business on 5 June 2006, Trustees of BT
Pension Scheme, Hermes Assured Limited, Hermes UK Focus Fund, The Second Hermes
UK Focus Fund and The Third Hermes UK Focus Fund had a material interest in
77,436,537 10 pence ordinary shares of MFI Furniture Group Plc (12.33 per cent
of the issued share capital).
