The Company received notification pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies Act
1985 ('the Act'), that at the close of business on 31st January 2006, BriTel
Fund Trustees Limited and its subsidiary companies, had a notifiable interest in
69,510,025 pence ordinary shares of MFI Furniture Group Plc (11.08 per cent of
the issued share capital).
