MFI announces a grant of options to certain directors of
the Company under the MFI Executive Share Option Plan
(the 'Executive Scheme').  The date of the grant was 27th
September 1999, the option price was 42 pence and the
options are normally exercisable during the period 27
September 2002 to 26 September 2006.  Grants were made to
