THE MFI SHARESAVE SCHEME

We hereby notify you that following the maturity on 1 November 2001 of the
three year savings contract in connection with the grant of share options made
under the MFI Sharesave Scheme (the 'Scheme ') on 7 August 1998, Bob Wilson,
an executive director of MFI Furniture Group Plc ('the Company') and a
participant of the Scheme, exercised his option to buy 7,876 MFI Furniture
Group Plc ordinary 10p shares at 51 pence each. Mr Wilson's holding in the
Company now stands at 44,169 ordinary 10p shares, such notification having
been given in accordance with Section 324 of the Companies Act 1985.
