Director Shareholding

On 25 June 2002, Hornby Plc ('the Company') was informed that the Hornby
Employee Benefit Trust ('the Trust') acquired by acquisition in the market on 21
June 2002, at a price of 412p per share, a total of 46,584 ordinary shares of 5p
each representing 0.64% in the capital of the Company.  As potential
beneficiaries under the Trust, each of Frank Martin and John Stansfield being
executive directors of the Company is treated as being interested in such
shares.
