In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6, we
would like to notify the market of the following:

Hochschild Mining plc's share capital consists of 307,350,226 ordinary shares of
25 pence each with voting rights, giving a total share capital of £76,837,556.50. 
None of these shares is held in treasury.

Therefore the total number of voting rights in Hochschild Mining plc is
307,350,226.

The above figure of 307,350,226 may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculation by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Hochschild Mining plc under
the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
