In conformity with Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1 Hiscox Ltd advises
that as at 28 September 2007 its capital consists of  396,028,555 Ordinary
shares with voting rights.  Hiscox Ltd holds 1,180,263 shares in Treasury.

Therefore the total number of voting rights in Hiscox Ltd is 396,028,555.

The above figure 396,028,555 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for
the calculation by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Hiscox Ltd under FSA's
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
