Today, Hiscox plc allotted 66,983 shares at an exercise price of £1.465, under
the Hiscox Unapproved Share Option Scheme. On the same day, Hiscox plc also
allotted 5,639 shares at an exercise price of £1.755 under the Hiscox Approved
Share Option Scheme.

These shares will rank pari passu with the existing class of ordinary 5p shares
in issue.

The issued share capital of Hiscox plc is now 392,262,179 ordinary shares of 5p
each.
