HAMILTON, Bermuda; On 10 April 2007, Hiscox Ltd (the 'Company') granted options
over a total of 440,381 Ordinary Shares of 5p each in the Company pursuant to
the Hiscox UK Ltd ShareSave Scheme, and options over 183,867 Ordinary Shares of 
5p each under the Hiscox Ltd International ShareSave Scheme. Subject to the 
terms of the scheme rules, all options so granted would be exercisable between 
1 May 2010 and 31 October 2010 at a price of £2.22 each.

Included in these grants were options granted to directors of the Company as set
out below:

        Robert S Childs      4,147
