HAMILTON, Bermuda; Hiscox Ltd has been informed that on 23 April 2008, Bronek
Masojada, Director, acquired 231,234 shares in the Company following the
exercise of the following share options:

Hiscox Unapproved Share Option Scheme: 140,997 at an exercise price of £0.806,
73,318 at an exercise price of £1.574 and Hiscox Approved Share Option Scheme:
16,919 at an exercise price of £1.574

Following the above exercises, Mr Masojada holds 2,941,304 Ordinary shares of 5p
each in the Company, representing 0.76% of the Company's issued share capital.
