HAMILTON, Bermuda; Hiscox Ltd has been informed that on 19 March 2008, Robert
Hiscox, Director, acquired 56,396 shares in the Company following the exercise
of the following share options:

Hiscox Unapproved Share Option Scheme: 53,093 at an exercise price of £1.020
each and Hiscox Approved Share Option Scheme: 3,303 at an exercise price of
£1.020 each;

Following the above exercises, Mr Hiscox holds 9,544,698 Ordinary shares of 5p
each in the Company, representing 2.44% of the Company's issued share capital.
