HAMILTON, Bermuda; Hiscox Ltd has been informed that on 4 April 2007, Robert
Childs, Director, acquired 7,544 shares in the company at £1.22268 per share as
a result of the exercise of share options held under the 2003 Hiscox ShareSave
Scheme which matured on 1 December 2006.


Following the above purchase Mr Childs holds 1,393,611 Ordinary shares in the
Company, representing 0.35% of the company's issued share capital.
