                              TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS

In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6,
Highway Capital plc hereby notifies the market of the following:

Highway Capital plc's issued share capital consists of 7,945,638 ordinary shares
of 2p each with voting rights. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in
Highway Capital is 7,945,638.

The figure of 7,945,638 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the
calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or a change to their interest in, Highway Capital plc under the
Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
