                                 BOARD CHANGES

Highway Capital plc (the 'Company') announces that Aron Freedman has been
appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 4 August
2006.

Mr Freedman is beneficially interested in 2,350,000 ordinary shares of 2p each
in the capital of the Company, representing approximately 29.6 per cent. of the
issued share capital of the Company. There are no disclosures to be made in
respect of Mr Freedman pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13, however, Mr Freedman is
currently a director of a number of private companies.

The Company further announces that Dominic Wheatley, John Roberts and Bob Burns
have today resigned as Directors of the Company with immediate effect.

Accordingly, the Board of Directors of the Company now comprises Howard Drummon
(who takes over from Dominic Wheatley as Non-Executive Chairman), Edward Levey
and Aron Freedman.

The Directors wish to thank their former colleagues for the contribution they
have made to the Company during the periods they served as Directors.
