COMPANIES ACT 1895 - DISCLOSURE OF INTERESTS IN SHARES

In accordance with Sections 198-202 of the above Act (as amended by the
Companies Act 1989 and the Disclosure of Interests in Shares (Amendment)
Regulations 1993), Kingerlee Holdings Limited notify that they have purchased
10,000 ordinary 25p shares in Highcroft Investment Trust plc. Their interest
now comprises of 1,245,400 ordinary 25p shares, representing 24.10% of the
issued ordinary share capital.

The Company were informed on 12 October 2000.
