      Announcement of the results of the Extraordinary General Meeting


At the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company held today, resolutions were
proposed to:


1.   approve the Tender Offer and Matching Facility; and



2.   conditional on the approval of the continuation vote at the Annual
General Meeting, to (a) approve the change in the investment policy, and other
related matters, and (b) to approve the amendments to the Articles of
Association necessary to implement the share discount control mechanism and the
continuation vote changes.



Each of these resolutions was duly passed at the Extraordinary General Meeting.
The directors confirm that the requests under the Tender Offer will be satisfied
in full.   The number of shares validly tendered to the Company was 4,593,057,
representing 26.86% of the issued share capital of the Company.



Terms used in this announcement bear the meanings given to them in the circular
to shareholders dated 22 December 2004.
