The Board of Henderson High Income Trust plc ('the Company')  announces that it has issued a circular to shareholders including a Notice of a General Meeting of the Company which will take place on Tuesday 23 September 2008 at 10.30am at 4 Broadgate, London EC2M 2DA.

The purpose of the General Meeting is to propose a special resolution to approve the adoption by the Company of new Articles of Association, amended to incorporate changes brought about by the Companies Act 2006.
