HENDERSON FAR EAST INCOME LIMITED 

The Company announces the allotment of 200,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of 241.0p per share on 24 April 2009, each fully paid under its block listing facility. The net asset value per Ordinary Share at the close of business on 23 April 2009 was 232.4p.

These shares will be issued for cash on 29 April 2009. As at 29 April 2009 the issued share capital will be 78,647,621 and the number of voting rights will be 78,647,621.
