                    Market Purchase of Company's Own Shares


Notification is given that pursuant to the authority granted at the Annual
General Meeting of the Company held on 8 November 2006 to make market purchases
of the Company's own shares of 5p, a market purchase of 150,000 ordinary shares
in the capital of the Company was made today at a price of 499p per share.  The
shares will be held in Treasury.

Following the purchase and cancellation of the above shares, 25,517,005 ordinary
shares of 5p each will remain in issue (excluding shares in Treasury).  This
figure may be used as the denominator for calculations of interests in the
Company's voting rights.
