                     Appointment of Non-Executive Director


Henderson EuroTrust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr John
Cornish as non-executive director to the Board with effect from the conclusion
of the Annual General Meeting to be held on Tuesday, 6 November 2007.

Mr Cornish, who is aged 63, retired in 2004 as a senior partner with Deloitte &
Touche where he specialised in audit and advisory work for clients in the
investment banking, investment management and other financial services sectors.

He is non-executive chairman of Framlington Innovative Growth Trust PLC, senior
independent non-executive director of RCM Technology Trust PLC, a non-executive
director of Strategic Equity Capital PLC and Honorary Treasurer of the Royal
Alexandra & Albert Foundation.

In accordance with paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules, it is
confirmed that there are no additional details to be disclosed in relation to Mr
Cornish.
