Directors' Notification of Dealing in Shares

Helical Bar plc (the 'Company')

The Company has today received notification that on 30 March 2000, Gerald
Kaye, a director of the Company, purchased 2,000 ordinary shares of 5p each at
a price of 570p per share.  Following this purchase Mr. Kaye is beneficially
interested in 230,514 ordinary shares representing 0.8 per cent. of the
Company's issued ordinary share capital.
