On 15 September 1999 the Company was informed that on 15 September 1999       
Michael Brown, a director of the Company, purchased 25,000 ordinary shares in
Helical Bar at a price of 630p each.  Following this purchase, Mr Brown is
interested in 83,584 ordinary shares in the Company representing 0.3 percent.
of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
