Helical Bar PLC 18 April 2005 18 April 2005 Helical Bar plc ('Helical Bar') HELICAL BAR APPOINTS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Helical Bar is pleased to announce that Wilf Weeks has been appointed to the board as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect. Wilf Weeks (aged 57) is currently the Chairman of European Public Affairs at Weber Shandwick, one of the world's leading public relations and communications management firms. He has specialised in Government Relations throughout his career and is widely recognised as one of the pioneers of the UK public affairs industry. Prior to setting up his public affairs consultancy, GJW, in 1980, Mr Weeks worked in the 1970's as Private Secretary to former Prime Minister, Edward Heath. Mr Weeks is currently the Chairman of the Dulwich Picture Gallery, the Heritage Education Trust and the Development Board of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He is also the Honorary Treasurer of the Hansard Society. No further details remain to be disclosed as required under chapter 16.4 of the FSA Listing Rules.
