                                 AGM STATEMENT

Following its Annual General Meeting today, Graham Waldron, Chairman of Headlam
Group, stated that sales in the first five months of 2006 against the
corresponding period last year, have increased by 3.9% on a like for like basis.

This positive sales trend in both Residential and Commercial products has been
achieved through the group continuing to develop its market position with
independent retailers and flooring contractors.

With a solid start to the year, the group looks forward to another year of
growth in profitability.
