                               INVESTOR UPDATE                                


RJB Mining is updating investors on its strategy following the successful
renegotiation of the last of the ESI contracts earlier this year and new
banking arrangements being agreed.  It is the Company's intention to return
capital to shareholders in the medium term within the prudent limits of its
banking facilities.

As indicated at the time of the interim results, trading in the second half of
the financial year is not expected to show growth above the performance in the
