UK Coal advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it was notified on 23 November 2009 that, following a transaction on 19 November 2009, UBS Investment Bank has a notifiable interest in 16,209,608 ordinary shares of 1p, representing 5.42% of the voting rights in the total issued ordinary share capital of UK Coal.
