UK Coal advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it was notified on 30 July 2008 that following a transaction on 29 July 2008 Deutsche Bank AG has a notifiable interest in 7,903,184 ordinary shares of 1p, representing 5.03% of the voting rights in the total issued ordinary share capital of UK Coal.
