Harvest Receives the Green Economy Mark from the London Stock Exchange

Harvest Minerals Limited, the AIM listed remineraliser producer, is delighted to announce that it has received the London Stock Exchange's Green Economy Mark.

Harvest produces a direct application natural remineraliser, KP Fértil®, from its 100% owned Arapua Fertiliser Project in Brazil.   This organic, multi-nutrient, direct application fertiliser contains many of the essential nutrients and minerals required by plants and, unlike most fertilisers, can be applied directly to crops as it does not require any complex processing or chemically alteration.

Notably, given its location in the heart of the largest and fastest growing fertiliser market in Brazil, its customers are on its doorstep, meaning that very little transport is required.  What fuel is needed to run the operation, is offset by initiatives such as tree planting to make Harvest a carbon free company; in 2020 it signed an agreement with the Instituto Estadual de Florestas (IEF or State Forest Institute) for the commitment to plant 18,000 native trees during the year.

The Green Economy Mark recognises companies that derive 50% or more of their total annual revenues from products and services that contribute to the global green economy. The underlying methodology incorporates the Green Revenues data model developed by FTSE Russell, which helps investors understand the global industrial transition to a green and low carbon economy with consistent, transparent data and indexes.

Brian McMaster, Chairman of Harvest, said: "As a producer of an organic product, we take our social and environmental responsibilities very seriously and are committed to ensuring our operations and products are as sustainable as possible.  In recognition of this, we are delighted to have been informed that we have qualified for the London Stock Exchange's prestigious Green Economy Mark. With an increasing number of investors and funds placing growing importance on ESG and sustainability, this is a significant accreditation."
