Hargreaves Services plc (AIM: HSP), the UK's leading supplier of solid fuels and bulk material logistics, is pleased to announce the appointment of David William Morgan to the Board as a Non Executive Director with immediate effect.  He will be the Senior Independent Director, will Chair the Audit Committee and will also be appointed to the Remuneration Committee and Nominations Committee.

Mr Morgan, aged 54, a Chartered Accountant, has had wide-ranging Board and senior management experience. Having trained with KPMG, he then spent over 20 years with Johnson Matthey plc, a FTSE 100 global business and was the Executive Director, Corporate Development from 1999 to 2009. His career has involved general and financial management as well as corporate governance and he has had M&A experience in all parts of the world.

David currently chairs the Advisory Board of Conduit Ventures Limited and also the Advisory Board of Imperial College London, Department of Chemistry. He is Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SFC Energy AG and a Non Executive Director of Nord Gold NV, a gold mining company.  He is also chairman of Econic Technologies Ltd and a director of Phosphonics Ltd, both of which are high-tech university spin-outs.  Previously, he was a Non Executive Director of Riversoft Plc from 2000 to 2002. He has chaired three Audit Committees.
