Purchase of shares for cancellation

Hargreave Hale AIM VCT1 plc announces that today it purchased 10,000 Ordinary
shares at a price of 57.9 pence per share for cancellation.

Following the purchase and cancellation of the above shares, 25,699,871 ordinary
shares of 1p each will remain in issue (excluding treasury shares).
