Hargreave  Hale AIM VCT  1 Plc (the "Company")  announces that David Hurst-Brown
has  tendered  his  resignation  from  the  Board  of the Company to take effect
immediately.

David  has tendered his resignation  so that the Company  can continue to comply
with  provisions of the Listing Rules regarding the independence of directors of
a listed company from its investment manager.

The Company wishes to thank David for his contribution to the Company during his
period as director.
