Appointment of New Director

Hargreave  Hale  AIM  VCT  1 Plc  (the  "Company")  is  pleased  to announce the
appointment  of David  Brock as  a Non-Executive  Director with  effect from 28
September 2010.

David,  aged 60, is a  Non-Executive Director of  PUMA VCT 3 Plc and Elderstreet
VCT Plc. He is also chairman of Episys Limited.

The  Company  will  shortly  make  an  announcement  regarding whether any other
matters  required by paragraphs 9.6.13(1) to (6) of the Listing Rules need to be
disclosed in relation to David.
