                              Company Announcement

Further to the announcement dated 21 November, regarding planned share disposals
by the Polonsky Foundation, Hansard has today received notification that the
Polonsky Foundation has completed these disposals amounting to a total of
5,195,000 ordinary shares, by way of donations to various charitable
organisations.

Accordingly the Polonsky Foundation is now interested in 7,286,888 shares or
5.31% of the Company's issued share capital.

The disposals were completed in accordance with the consent granted by the
Company's Sponsor and Broker, as described in the previous announcement.
Following completion of these disposals and consultation with FTSE, the
Directors of Hansard now expect the Company to be considered as a UK company by
FTSE's Nationality Committee and therefore to be eligible for inclusion to the
FTSE UK Index Series, subject to normal eligibility rules, at the next FTSE
Index Review in December.
