Notification of Directors Interests


Mr P W B Cole, Director of Hammerson plc, exercised options on 23 December 2004
over 9,547 ordinary 25p shares at 528p per share, 3,955 ordinary 25p shares at
379p per share and 2,000 ordinary 25p shares at 347p per share.


Mr P W B Cole then sold the resultant 15,502 shares at 846.25p per share on 23
December 2004.


Following this exercise, Mr P W B Cole holds options under the Company's
Executive Share Option Scheme over a further 17,056 ordinary 25p shares.


Mr G Devaux, Director of Hammerson plc, exercised options on 23 December 2004
over 2,061 ordinary 25p shares at 528p per share and 19,733 ordinary 25p shares
at 379p per share.


Mr G Devaux then sold the resultant 21,794 shares at 846.25p per share on 23
December 2004.


Following this exercise, Mr G Devaux holds options under the Company's Executive
Share Option Scheme over a further 83,756 ordinary 25p shares.


On 23 December 2004 Mr R R Spinney, Chairman of Hammerson plc, sold 10,000
ordinary shares of 25p at 846.25p per share.  Following this sale, Mr R R
Spinney holds 34,915 ordinary shares of 25p.


On 23 December 2004 Mr J Barton, Director of Hammerson plc, sold 3,000 ordinary
shares of 25p at 847.025p per share.  Following this sale, Mr J Barton holds
6,000 ordinary shares of 25p.
