                DATE OF BOARD MEETING TO APPROVE INTERIM RESULTS
                             AND DECLARE DIVIDEND


The Directors of Halma p.l.c. intend to hold a Board Meeting on 3 December 2002
to approve the results for the 26 weeks to 28 September 2002.

The interim dividend for the 26 weeks will also be declared at that meeting.
