Halfords announces Andrew Findlay to step down as CFO

Halfords Group plc ("Halfords") announces that Andrew Findlay, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), has resigned to take up the position of CFO at easyJet plc.  Andrew will remain as CFO of Halfords until the end of October 2015.  A process to appoint his successor is underway.

Commenting on behalf of the Board, the Chairman Dennis Millard said: "We would like to thank Andrew for his outstanding contribution to the business. He has played an important role in the recent Halfords story. He will be leaving Halfords in a healthy financial position and with an award-winning Finance team. Halfords is a strong business with a clear strategy, is trading well and will continue to build on its leading positions in a number of large and attractive retail and service markets."

Andrew Findlay said: "I have greatly enjoyed my time with Halfords and I am exceptionally proud of the progress the business has made over the last few years. I am sad to be leaving, but the opportunity to join easyJet was too attractive to turn down. As a result, the time has come to let someone else take on the role of CFO in this fantastic business. I wish Halfords and the team every success."

Trading for the final quarter of the 2015 Financial Year was in line with management's expectations and, as originally planned, a trading update for the quarter and the full year's results for the 53 weeks ended 3rd April will be provided on 5th June 2015.
