('Goldman Sachs'), pursuant to Sections 198 to 203 of the Companies Act 1985,
advising that, as at the close of business on 15 June 2006, Goldman Sachs was
interested in 34,728,361 ordinary shares in GUS (representing 4.01% of the
issued ordinary share capital of GUS excluding treasury shares). The
notification was dated 19 June 2006 and received on 21 June 2006.
