pursuant to Sections 198 to 202 of the Companies Act 1985, advising that as a
result of a purchase on 18 May 2004 by its subsidiary, Morley Fund Management
Limited ('Morley'), Aviva holds an interest in 30,623,075 ordinary shares of 25p
each in this Company. This holding represented 3.01% of the issued ordinary
share capital of the Company at that date. Of this amount Morley holds
30,531,940 shares representing 3.00% of the issued ordinary share capital.
