The Great Universal Stores PLC has received notification that Mr Jonathan
Charkham (a director of the Company) has today purchased 1,000 Ordinary Shares
of 25p each in the Company at a price of £6.045 per share. Following this
purchase, Mr Charkham holds 9,000 Ordinary Shares of 25p each in the Company.
