Director/PDMR Shareholding

The following amendment has been made to the 'Director/PDMR Shareholding'
announcement released today at 15.25 under RNS No 4275J.

Under the heading '(b) Contingent interests in matching shares' the 'Contingent
interests in matching shares now held' for 'David Tyler' should read '228,128'
and not '7228,128' as previously stated. 

All other details remain unchanged.

                    DIRECTORS' INTERESTS IN CONNECTION WITH 
                          THE GUS CO-INVESTMENT PLAN


The Company has received notification that, in accordance with the terms of The
GUS Co-Investment Plan, matching shares awarded in 2003 were released to the
following directors of the Company on 22 September 2006. This notification was
received on that day and was made in accordance with DR 3.1,4R(l)(b). The
resulting changes in their interests in GUS shares and in their contingent
interests in matching shares awarded in connection with this plan are as
follows:
